Felicity Topp is a designer-maker with an extensive commercial history. She has led projects, exhibited and been commissioned for works in a huge variety of media including bead work, embroidery, weaving, water colour, jewellery for stage and wearable art. She has led a successful giftware design & production company, worked in interior design and in stop-frame animation for television.
Felicity is a trained designer and mechanical engineer with a love of precision and problem solving. Working with diverse, fragile and valuable artworks including centuries old maps, tissue-thin Japanese rice paper works and collectable textiles has developed Felicity's love of solving ambitious fabrication challenges. Felicity is now happily bringing her hands-on technical and design skills to bespoke picture framing in Cambridge.
"When you work with Felicity you know you're working with a professional. She appreciates and takes the time to talk through framing options and is able to suggest some truly inventive and imaginative solutions. It's not a "one size fits all" approach! That said, she's sensitive to what you want to achieve with the job and won't force her opinions on you if you want to go in a different direction. Ultimately, she achieves a remarkable finish, personal and professional - enhancing the uniqueness of the works that she is framing."
